Discover Boating Puts You at the Helm!

Strictly Sail Miami presents an exclusive, ON-WATER Learning Experience on beautiful Biscayne Bay.

Nothing beats hands on experience when it comes to improving your sailing skills and learning new ones. This year’s show features a selection of on water learning events designed to add more fun and excitement to your boat show experience…and take your sailing skills up a notch. Whether you are a newcomer or an experienced sailor, there’s something for everyone—from absolute beginners to seasoned skippers!

CHOOSE YOUR EVENT (2 hour clinic)

There are several two (2) hour hands-on, skills-building CLINICS that provide instruction on specific sailing skills. You may choose from

Docking Under Power Coastal Cruising Introduction to Sailing

Select one …or all three…... you’ll learn skills that will last a lifetime. Advance Registration fee is $45 for each event and all participants who register in advance will be admitted to the entire boat show Free. For a more in depth experience and more practice time, there are several 3½ -hour, underway SEMINARS available.

Sailing Made Easy Advanced Sailing Skills Introduction to Cruising Catamarans

Space in these popular events is very limited and advance registration is highly recommended. There is a registration fee of $125 for each event and participants who register in advance will receive FREE boat show admission for the day.

Participants must be a least 18 years of age and able to participate as an active crew member while underway.

LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS. These hands on, underway events are taught by USCG licensed captains who are professional, certified instructors from the American Sailing Association (ASA).

Not Ready for the Water? Come Sail Away on the Sailing Simulator and take a free sailing lesson.

Get a feel for the water without leaving the show on a virtual sailboat ride. A certified ASA instructors will be on hand to offer you a free sailing lesson and the chance to experience how a boat reacts to the wind and waves right at the show.

Designed and built by a nuclear physicist, the simulator recreates the actual movement of a boat under sail. It’s a unique training platform for sailors of all abilities—whether you’re a new boater who wants to learn how to sail or an experienced sailor who wants to practice under different sailing conditions. Stop by and see for yourself how it really feels to sail without leaving dry land.

NEW FOR 2013—VACATION BASIN

Vacation Basin, a concept created and initiated by the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, comes to Strictly Sail Miami, featuring your favorite romantic getaways and charter destinations. Visit Vacation Basin on Pier C to learn about some of the most exotic charter destinations in the World. Book an exotic trip to a place you’ve only seen in pictures and see the boats you'll be traveling aboard. Vacation Basin will also feature island special drinks and music by one of the most well-known steel drummers in the World… Frankendread.

Start your day with a free sailing lesson. Not ready to go out on the water? Stop by for a free sailing lesson on the new sailing simulator. An ASA certified sailing instructor will be on site to teach you the basics and get you ready to get out on the water.

NEW! 2013 Consumer Choice Awards—Your vote will determine the winners & "Best of Show."

Thie “Best of Show Awards” at this year's show will be selected by attendees. Here is your chance to cast your vote and choose your favorite boat, booth or new product.

Everyone who attends the show Thursday the 14th through Sunday the 17th will have an opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite in the show— from boats to booths, new products and fun features – it’s the 2013 Consumer Choice Awards.

Every voter will be entered to win a $100 Pre-paid Visa Gift Card.
