The “Best of Show Awards” at this year's show will be selected by attendees. Here is your chance to cast your vote and choose your favorite boat, booth or new product.

Nothing beats hands-on experience when it comes to improving your sailing skills and learning new ones. This year’s show features a selection of on-the-water training events designed to add more fun and excitement to your boat show experience…and take your sailing skills up a notch. Whether you are a newcomer or an experienced sailor, there’s something for everyone—from absolute beginners to seasoned skippers!

Advance Registration fee is $45 for each event and all participants who register in advance will be admitted to the entire boat show Free. Space in these popular events is very limited and advance registration is highly recommended. There is a registration fee of $125 for each event. Participants who register in advance will receive FREE boat show admission for the day.
LEARNING FROM THE EXPERTS. These hands on, underway events are taught by USCG licensed captains who are professional, certified instructors from the American Sailing Association (ASA).
Participants must be a least 18 years of age and able to participate as an active crew member while underway.
NEW FOR 2014 — VACATION BASIN
Vacation Basin, a concept created and initiated by the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, comes to Strictly Sail Miami, featuring your favorite romantic getaways and charter destinations. Visit Vacation Basin on Pier C to learn about some of the most exotic charter destinations in the World. Book an exotic trip to a place you’ve only seen in pictures and board the actual boats you'll be traveling aboard. Vacation Basin will also feature special island drinks and music by one of the most well-known steel drummers in the World… Frankendread.
Not Ready for the Water? Come Sail Away on the Sailing Simulator and take a free sailing lesson.
Get a feel for the water without leaving the show on a virtual sailboat ride. A certified ASA small boat instructor will be on hand to offer you a free sailing lesson and the chance to experience how a boat reacts to the wind and waves right at the show.
Designed and built by a nuclear physicist, the sailing simulator recreates the actual movement of a boat under sail. It’s a unique training platform for sailors of all abilities—whether you’re a new boater who wants to learn how to sail or an experienced sailor who wants to practice under different sailing conditions. Stop by and see for yourself how it really feels to sail without leaving dry land.

The NEW Cruising Outpost Magazine (formerly Lats & ATTS) to host Annual Cruisers Party—
Join others with your same passion for sailing, along with the exhibitors and industry folks, for a great evening of free pizza, beer, and soft drinks at the 2ND Annual Cruising Outpost Cruisers Party! Enjoy island music with a live performance by Eric Stone.
Rules? Only one! Be inside the gates before the Show closes on Saturday evening, February 15th at 6pm. The Cruising Outpost Cruisers' Party has become one big “must attend” party. Pizza, beer and soft drinks are free... Fun to be had by all!
Must be 21 to consume alcohol.

Start your day with a free sailing lesson. Not ready to go out on the water? Stop by for a free sailing lesson on the new sailing simulator. An ASA certified sailing instructor will be on site to teach you the basics and get you ready to get out on the water.
